DBC Civils Site Supervisor - Micro-tunnel Construction

TRS Staffing Solutions are excited to announce the opportunity for a Construction Site Manager with expertise in Micro Tunneling, supporting a Major Offshore Windfarm Developer.

This is a long term contract, site based role.

Roles and Responsibilities:
•Fulfilling Site Based Role of Site Manager/Representative on an HVDC Onshore Site focusing on Site Management, Civil engineering, site inspection, Site Interfaces, Coordination and Reporting to Senior Management.
•Be located onsite to manage & inspect the quality of Contractor Works during the construction period.
•Review Contractors supplied Design documents and provide comments.
•Review Contractors supplied Health & Safety documents and provide comments, review and approve e.g. Health & Safety Plan, Lift Plans, Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
•Review Contractors supplied Quality Management System documents and provide comments, review and approve e.g. Inspection and Test Plans.
•Update the Client team with progress onsite on a minimum of a weekly basis.
•Provide progress reports.
•Witness Testing and inspect the quality of work onsite.
•Check that the Contractor is complying with the Inspection and Test Plan and raise any non-conformances or defect notices.
•Check that the Contractor is undertaking works in accordance with the Employer’s Requirements and raise any non-conformances or non-compliance issues.
•Record site progress through site diaries and photographs and uploading to agreed shared location.
•Raise any Health & Safety or Environmental Concerns to the Principal Contractor and the Client.
•Raise any concerns over workmanship or quality to the Principal Contractor and the Client.
•Assist the Project Manager in the assessment of Monthly Valuations and Variations to the contract.
•Other Ad Hoc duties and reasonable requests made by the client associated with the site works.

Experience:
Essential
•Experience of previously undertaking a Management of similar sites, Site Supervisor or Clerk of works role
•Experience of Reinforced concrete construction and undertaking pre-pour checks of rebar and shuttering.
•Experience of site inspection and witnessing of drainage construction

Beneficial
•Experience of cable installation, Substation or HVDC converter station construction
•Experience of multi-discipline construction site and associated Management, coordination and interfaces.
•Experience of Road Construction
•Experience site inspection of Steel Portal frame construction
