Design Engineer-CATIA V5

Job Summary:
His scope of work will include Design and Development of products like Sunroof Systems, E Lids, Plastic components etc.

Technical Skills:
• Sound knowledge in Tools like CATIA V5 – Part Design, Generative Shape Design & Drafting
• Experience in a “Product cycle” from concept, Prototype, validation to implementation stage on the assembly line.
• Knowledge of making Design Guidelines & Design review check-sheets.
• Knowledge in Automotive Modules like Body-In-White (BIW), Interior Trims, HVAC, functional parts such as door handles, latches, sunroofs etc. and Vehicle integration and platform development
• Knowledge of Engineering Materials.
• Knowledge of GD&T.
• Knowledge of Manufacturing & Assembly Processes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Include the following functions. However other duties may be assigned.
• Co-ordinate and communicate with the client as well as offshore team
• Support design activities using CAD software
• Support with detailed engineering drawings
• Support the client with Scanning and Benchmarking activities
• Analyze and develop engineering criteria and requirements
• Develop system design specifications
• Provide detailed PowerPoint explaining engineering requirements for product assembly sequence
• Support with Bill of Materials
• Support with Data transfer between Client and offshore team
• Manage timesheets
• Support with Project timeline
• Update project tracking sheet on daily basis
• Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualification, Education and / or Experience:
• Min: Bachelor In Mechanical Engineering
• Basic knowledge of mechanical design & mechanisms.
• Good English communication orally & written.
