Responsibilities:
- Provide senior-level technical review, quality oversight, and risk assessment across all deliverables, promoting strong engineering practices and digital design tools.
- Act as the primary design liaison for clients, guiding discussions, leading technical presentations, and supporting decision-making throughout the project.
- Lead the full design lifecycle for large-scale rail and transit infrastructure projects, from early feasibility assessments through detailed engineering.
- Support strategic growth efforts by contributing to proposals, competitive bids, technical submissions, and solution development for future project opportunities.
- Ensure all design work meets required safety, sustainability, performance, and regulatory standards while maintaining budget, schedule, and operational objectives.
- Oversee coordination across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, systems, architectural, and environmental teams to ensure aligned, integrated design outcomes.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering.
- Professional Engineering designation (or eligibility) within a Canadian jurisdiction.
- 10+ years of engineering experience, including significant leadership responsibilities on transit or rail-related projects.
- Strong understanding of rail and transit systems, including stations, track, systems integration, communications, and power.
- Proven ability to guide complex design teams and manage consultant interfaces.
- Demonstrated experience in client engagement, proposal development, and support for business growth initiatives.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to balance technical leadership and business considerations.
