Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, and braking systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and preventative servicing on heavy mining equipment (e.g., haul trucks, loaders, excavators, drills).
- Conduct inspections and safety checks in accordance with OEM and site standards.
- Maintain accurate service records and complete job cards.
- Collaborate with maintenance planners, supervisors, and other trades.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Qualification and Skills Requirements:
- Valid Red Seal Certification as a Diesel Mechanic.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in mining or heavy industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and mobile equipment systems.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and computerized maintenance systems.
- Ability to work in remote or high-pressure environments.
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
