The company is focused on solidifying and growing its business offerings within the Automotive, Media, Freight and soon in health care and entertainment industries.
Its’ vision is to be the hub of all non automotive business in KSA.
Role Purpose
The core responsibility is to implement the companies’ digitization objectives by working closely with the BU and functions heads ensuring that the implementation of digitization projects are on the right path.
The GM digitization will work under CDO supervision on the design of information and technology digitization strategy in business units and business functions.
The candidate will also lead the implementation of the ‘digital transformational journey’ action plan. This requires collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. Success in this role demands a strong project management and information technology capabilities coupled with exceptional communication skills as well as a highly developed collaborative nature.
Duties and Responsibilities
Works under CDO supervision, and other directors, C-level and Business unit leaders to implement the digital vision for the enterprise, and to identify the opportunities for differentiating digital capabilities and solutions.
Leads the process to identify and evaluate internal digital asset capabilities and strengths. Work closely with the BD team on assessing external digital opportunities and threats as key inputs to making the best decisions on business strategy, given digital realities.
Work closely with the PMO team on designing project charters and plans for key digitization projects.
Leads the implementation of the digital business strategy and roadmap, and ensures its success by identifying risks and key issues and raise red flag when applicable
Defines and reports on digital business KPIs and metrics that represent progress against digital goals.
Builds and maintains external relationships in technology, as well as with industry bodies, vendors and technology analysts to learn, recommend and implement best practice.
Manages a small team of project members and supervise the progress, when needed.
Partners with the IT Director and IT organization to develop and explore new digital business solutions to create a competitive edge for the enterprise. May also own and lead development teams and projects directly.
Skills
Deep understanding of the evolving digital world on both the demand side (how people/companies are using technology) and the supply side (emerging technologies)
Extensive knowledge of digital project planning and management.
Strong business acumen, including domain-specific knowledge of the company and its business units
Excellent analytical, consulting and project management skills
Strong moderation and negotiation skills
Ability to effectively influence people, process and technology change in a dynamic and complex operating environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to business leaders, as well as business concepts to technologists
Education
A bachelor's or master's degree in Information systems or technology or related field.
Additional education in project management disciplines is required.
Experience
Five or more years of business experience, ideally in business/technology implementation, IT implementation, ideally with some experience in user experience design and implementation.
Progressive career in leading cross-functional teams and enterprise wide digitization projects
Experience in information-intensive industries or digitally advanced enterprises
Experience in innovating technology business developing and implementing solutions for internal/external customers
Proven digitization project management experience is a must
