Director, Category Management

The Opportunity
Our client, an industry leader in the mining industry is looking for a Director, Category Management to join their team. Your key role will be to lead the planning, development and implementation of strong vendor management, client relationships and strategic sourcing.

Responsibilities
• Participate in the planning process for sourcing and procurement to ensure organizations success.
• Develop business plans on industry trends, best practices and category sourcing strategies.
• Strong knowledge in contract administration to support supplier relationships, joint venture partners and ensure value of agreements
• Ensures and develops strategies to sustain all commercial contracts are in alignment with regulatory, legal and internal policies.
• Ability to lead teams to ensure outcomes, employee engagement and objectives are delivered for customer focused standards.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree is required
• Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience
• CCLP, SCMP, P.Eng or other industry certifications is an asset
