Major manufacturing company in Pueblo, Colorado is seeking a Document Control Technician for a long-term temporary assignment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and overseeing documents for a large scale project. Will ensure that documents are: received, transmitted, reviewed, changed, controlled, issued and stored as per project control guidelines. This position reports to the Document Control Manager.

Duties

• Coordinate change control activities with all departments to implement and maintain the document management and control process
• Review document changes for adherence to document control procedures
• Distribute updated documents to the project team, engineering, suppliers, and contractors
• Fulfill document retrieval requests
• Organize and archive documents by scanning, copying, physically and/or electronically filing
• Represent the document control department as required during audits
• Follow project specific procedures and practices related to document control and project guidelines

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of related administrative experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Thorough understanding of the filing system to be able to quickly and effectively retrieve documents and data as required
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe, experience with project management software NewForma, preferred
• Must be a problem solver, self-starter able to prioritize and balance multiple tasks with minimal supervision
• Excellent team player, strong ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with employees and members of management
