We are looking for a forward-thinking Dredging R&D Manager to lead research and development efforts that advance dredging technologies and processes. Based in Abu Dhabi, this role will focus on driving innovation, enhancing operational efficiency, and promoting sustainable practices in offshore projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather, clean, and organize large datasets from dredging operations, sensors, and offshore equipment.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy for analysis and reporting.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Create dashboards and visualizations to present complex data in an understandable format.
- Use data-driven insights to recommend improvements in dredging processes and equipment utilization.
- Support automation and digitalization initiatives through advanced analytics.
- Work closely with R&D, engineering, and operations teams to integrate data solutions into dredging projects.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
- Research and implement new data science tools and techniques relevant to dredging operations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in data analytics and marine engineering.
Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or any related disciplines.
- Additional degree or certification in the field related to the data science/Analytics is preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years extensive experience in managing a large Analytics or AI function. ML/DL solutions focused on batch and real-time data pipelines.
- Experience with probability and statistics inclusive of machine learning, optimization, forecasting and experimental design.
- Experience in benchmarking and model performance evaluation and improvement.
