Electrical Project Engineer

Here is an exciting new opportunity as an Electrical Project Engineer in a remote position for our client, an innovative and technology-led engineering firm for their location in Alberta. Our client is a major player in the mining, energy, and industrial sectors. In this role, the Electrical Engineer will work with like-minded individuals to take part in planning and executing projects through the phases of engineering projects!

Job Duties:
• Organizes and controls project phases and work packages to complete engineering for project.
• Generates and maintains appropriate staffing plans, while developing capital and labor estimates.
• Complies with federal and provincial regulations to uphold the project and company reputation.
• Estimate electrical costs for proposed projects in collaboration with electrical contractors.
• Review design criteria, scheduling changes, performance specifications, and as to keep the project on a timely schedule.

Qualifications:
• 10+ years of engineering experience, preferably in the mining industry
• Post-secondary degree in Engineering or any related discipline
• Proficient with applicable Canadian codes and standards
• Registered as a Professional Engineer in the Canadian Provinces, or eligible to register in the future.
