The Electrical Inspector is responsible for inspecting the building during fabrication and post construction to ensure the product is built according to PCI’s quality standards and is in accordance with Issued Drawings and BOM.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned as needed.

1. Inspects electrical aspects of the building to ensure the building conforms to quality standards and specifications. Verifies that structures and equipment meet the specified criteria per engineered Drawings, Bill of Materials, and customer specifications.
2. Inspect fit and finish of structures, assemblies, and coated parts.
3. Generates reports of conditions found during inspection activities, notifies operations and Quality Assurance/Quality Control management of significant problems, and completes documentation necessary to attest to satisfactory completion of inspection or test activities.
4. Provides technical assistance to customers during onsite inspections.
5. Ensures all documentation is complete and accurate, meeting PCI quality standards.
6. Ensure construction & assembly of products adheres to local and national standards, as required.
7. Test equipment for proper function and safety protection
8. Record discrepancies and test results and prepare final inspection reports
9. Collaborate with production supervisors and project managers to resolve quality issues
10. Work with customer inspectors to demonstrate the quality of structures and equipment
11. Identify rework, issues requiring corrective action and continuous improvement opportunities.
12. Identify and control nonconforming product
QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
2. 7-10 Years of electrical experience. Electrical experience should consist of determining wiring layouts, wiring installation, gear installation, testing, and troubleshooting any faults within the electrical system.
3. Knowledge of standards and codes as related to product. Qualified candidates should have thorough knowledge of the NEC code. Journeyman Card not required.
4. Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, tape measure, grinders, and saws safely. Proper use of hand tools, measuring tape, Volt-Ohm meters coating Thickness gauges
5. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and checklists.
6. Ability to review bill of materials, designs, and drawings (blueprints).
7. Strong attention to detail.
8. Good verbal and written communication skills.
9. Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, BOM, SOP
10. Electrical testing and function of switchgear, motor controls, drives, UPS systems, fire & smoke detection systems
11. Welding procedures and visual inspections of welds
12. Inspection of coating systems and corrosion protection
13. Computer aptitude to include Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point.
14. Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards
