This is a freelance position for a minimum of 12 months. Starting in May 2020.
Previous Offshore Wind Project Development experience is essential
Key Responsibilities:
• The Engineer Primary and Secondary Systems Grid Connection On-/Offshore acts as project expert for all electrotechnical components of the grid connection system which are required to establish a 220 kV and a 66 kV grid connection system, such as:
o 220/66 kV power transformers;
o 220 kV shunt reactors;
o 220 kV GIS;
o 66 kV GIS;
o 220 kV and 66 kV cables and fittings;
o Auxiliary power transformers and neutral point formers;
o Main and reserve protection;
o Auxiliary power units AC/DC;
o Low voltage cabling;
o Protection concepts.
• Coordination of all work package-specific tasks and interfaces. Collaboration with other work packages and departments (procurement, operations, logistics, etc.) and key stakeholders (partners, regulators);
• Support of the award negotiations from a technical point of view;
• Review and comment on the design, documentation and make design decisions and recommendations;
• Identifying and mitigating technical risks and ensuring that the design enables safe and efficient manufacture, installation, commissioning, testing and operation;
• Responsible for conducting technical audits and inspections during the manufacturing process and for providing technical support to the installation, commissioning and O&M teams;
• Management of subcontractors and, if required, additional experts in the package;
• Participation in the creation and implementation of the commissioning strategy;
• Close cooperation with the O&M manager and SCADA experts;
• The Engineer Primary and Secondary Systems Grid Connection On-/Offshore ensures that essential safety precautions (in accordance with legislation, best industry practice and company standards) are established and maintained on the high and medium voltage transmission network before activities such as commissioning, testing, repairs, maintenance or capital replacement take place;
• Contact point for all questions concerning the technical part of the grid connection system technology.
