Here is an exciting opportunity to join a mega project in Kitimat, British Columbia as an Environmental Advisor! In this role you will be reporting directly to the Site Environmental Manager, you will be responsible for construction planning and execution, and compliance monitoring in terrestrial, riparian, freshwater, and marine areas.

Key Job Duties:
• Responsible for the review of construction scopes against regulatory requirements, permit conditions, and Environmental Management Requirements.
• Work with subcontractors and construction management to identify environmental risks, verify mitigations are properly identified, and assist in document preparation during work scope planning.
• Develop Environmental Work Plans for company performed scopes.
• Conduct daily field inspection to verify compliance.
• Effective record keeping of environmental observations and compliance monitoring activities.

Key Requirements:
• Relevant bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, ecology etc. is required.
• Relevant professional designation is an asset.
• 5 - 8 years’ experience working in a similar role.
• Experience in working in marine, estuary, freshwater, and terrestrial environments.
• Previous working experience in oil and gas, hydroelectric or mining projects.
