Job Title: Environmental & Energy Manager/Sustainability Manager
Location: Augusta, GA 30906
Industry: complex processes (industrial metals refining, processing)
Status of Hire: full-time, direct hire, salaried plus bonus
Pay: $110-160k plus bonus
Industry: industrial manufacturing, metals
Reports to: Environmental & Sustainability Director

Objective:
As a Sustainability Manager you will be at the forefront of our sustainability efforts, responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive sustainability initiatives, manage change, and ensure operational efficiency. This role will play a crucial part in driving our environmental and social responsibility goals, making a meaningful impact both within and beyond our organization.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement comprehensive sustainability strategies and initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sustainability goals with company objectives
• Continuously monitor industry trends and best practices to drive innovation
• Lead change management efforts to drive the adoption of sustainability practices across the organization
• Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on sustainable practices
• Foster a culture of sustainability and social responsibility
• Identify sustainability challenges and develop innovative solutions
• Analyze data to track and report on sustainability performance
• Collaborate with teams to implement improvements and drive sustainability targets
• Manage sustainability-related budgets and resources effectively
• Work with suppliers and vendors to source sustainable products and services
• Ensure sustainable practices are integrated into daily operations
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to build partnerships and promote sustainability
• Communicate sustainability progress and initiatives to stakeholders and the public
• Participate in industry networks and sustainability forums
• Develop and execute a long-term sustainability strategy aligned with corporate objectives
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress toward sustainability goals
Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sustainability management or related roles and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field (advanced degree is a plus)
• Strong knowledge of sustainability best practices and principles
• Excellent project management and change management skills
• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and solve complex problems
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
**Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer, regardless of authorization or visa transfer
**Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check to be eligible for hire
