Summary
Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. Responsible for all aspects of electrical maintenance (including but not excluding both preventative and corrective) on all plant electrical and instrumentation equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform all duties in a professional, legal, and ethical manner and in accordance with the company Code of Conduct.
- Conduct all work activities in a manner to ensure safety while maintaining acute awareness of safety and loss control goals for the plant and its colleagues.
- Provide a positive example, and assistance to other department personnel in the performance of their duties as needed.
- Maintain and troubleshoot high voltage (12.5KV) systems with 120 VDC controls.
- Maintain and troubleshoot 480 VAC distribution systems and 480 VAC motor starter circuits.
- Maintain and troubleshoot 120 VAC and low voltage AC/DC motor control circuits.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and program AC & DC variable frequency drives.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and perform minor program changes for PLC’s (ladder and function block style).
- Maintain and troubleshoot overhead cranes which include static stepless controls and wound rotor motors.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate, install, repair, and inspect all other unspecified plant electronic and instrumentation devices and equipment as needed.
- Participate as needed in training, special committees, and cross functional investigations of incidents occurring in the plant to assist in the development of measures to avoid further occurrences.
Required Skills and Experience
- 2-year craft training program in industrial electricity (or equivalent military experience.
- Efficient communication
- Capable of exercising independent initiative, judgment, originality, and ingenuity.
- Microsoft Office, IT, Databases
- 5-10 years in heavy equipment manufacturing environment or equivalent military experience.
