Job Title: ERP Specialist
Location: Greenville, SC
Industry: plastic injection molding manufacturing
Status of Hire: direct placement; permanent
Reports to: Group IT Director
Pay: $130k + 3-5% bonus

Summary: We are seeking a skilled and business-oriented ERP Specialist to support and enhance the use of our INFOR AS ERP system across our two manufacturing plants in Greenville, South Carolina. This role is critical in ensuring that the ERP system effectively supports daily operations while reinforcing process discipline, data accuracy, and operational efficiency. Acting as the primary ERP point of contact for local teams, the ERP Specialist will bridge the gap between business operations and IT, ensuring that the system is used consistently, efficiently, and in alignment with corporate standards. In addition to daily operational support, this position will play a key role in preparing and coordinating a future ERP upgrade initiative in collaboration with Corporate IT and external partners.

Job Duties:
Operational ERP Ownership

  • Serve as the primary ERP contact for operations, production, supply chain, and finance teams in Greenville.
  • Ensure consistent and accurate use of INFOR AS across both plants
  • Translate business requirements into structured and sustainable ERP processes
  • Promote data integrity and adherence to standardized workflows.
  • Support management decision-making through reliable system usage.
User Support and Reporting
  • Provide first-line functional ERP support to end users
  • Assist teams in generating and improving operational and financial reports
  • Support KPI tracking and data extraction for production, inventory, and performance analysis
  • Improve reporting consistency and ensure reliable data interpretation.
Training and User Development
  • Develop and maintain clear, practical training materials and documentation
  • Deliver structured training sessions to users across departments
  • Support onboarding of new employees on ERP processes
  • Identify and mentor key users within each plant to strengthen local expertise.
Governance and Process Standardization
  • Ensure alignment with company ERP standards and system blueprint
  • Identify inefficient practices or legacy customizations and propose structured improvements
  • Maintain functional documentation and process clarity
  • Promote disciplined and simplified ERP usage
ERP Upgrade and Project Participation
  • Prepare and support the execution of a future INFOR AS upgrade.
  • Act as the local business lead during upgrade initiatives.
  • Coordinate testing, validation, and user acceptance processes.
  • Work closely with Corporate IT and external INFOR consultants.
  • Support change management to ensure smooth adoption.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of ERP experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of assembly-to-order (ATO) manufacturing processes.
  • Experience supporting production, supply chain, and finance functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with operational teams on-site.
  • Experience participating in or leading ERP upgrade projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and ERP data structures preferred.
  • Development knowledge (RPG, SQL scripting, or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong service-oriented mindset.
  • Hands-on, pragmatic, and business-focused.
  • Comfortable operating in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to balance daily operational support with long-term system improvement.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization.
