Job Title: Execution Lead – Solar Transmission Line
Location: Noida
Department: Engineering / Projects
Reporting To: Director – Projects / COO
Experience: 15+ years (minimum 5 years in solar transmission or similar infrastructure projects)
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or related field (M.E./MBA preferred)
Role Overview:
The Execution Lead will be responsible for overseeing the complete lifecycle of solar transmission line projects—from planning and design to commissioning. This role demands strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and stakeholder management to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution
- Lead the end-to-end execution of solar transmission line projects.
- Develop comprehensive project plans outlining timelines, budgets, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and quality teams to ensure seamless execution.
Technical Oversight
- Review and approve engineering designs, technical specifications, and documentation.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements (CEA, CERC, DISCOMs).
- Supervise integration of substations and transmission lines (132 kV/220 kV/400 kV) with grid connectivity.
Stakeholder Management
- Engage with EPC contractors, consultants, government authorities, and utility providers.
- Conduct regular progress reviews and ensure effective communication across all stakeholders.
- Manage permits, clearances, and coordination with state and central grid authorities.
Financial & Commercial Management
- Monitor project budgets, cash flows, and implement cost control measures.
- Review contractor invoices, validate work orders, and negotiate change orders.
- Oversee procurement and logistics of key equipment such as towers, conductors, and transformers.
Team Leadership
- Build and lead a high-performing execution team.
- Delegate responsibilities, track performance, and facilitate training and development.
Risk & Quality Assurance
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, HSE protocols, and conduct regular audits and inspections.
Key Requirements:
- In-depth technical knowledge of transmission line design, construction, and commissioning—preferably in the solar sector.
- Familiarity with the Indian regulatory framework for power transmission.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
