TRS is thrilled to present an outstanding opportunity to work with India’s largest EPC company, a subsidiary of one of the world’s largest conglomerates. 

Automation Engineer (Steel and Power Sector)

Location: Dhenkanal, Odisha

Contract: Third party payroll

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Diploma holders are also eligible)
  • Relevant certifications in automation or control systems (if applicable)

Responsibilities:

  1. Commissioning and Pre-Commissioning:

    • Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful commissioning of automation systems.
    • Conduct pre-commissioning checks, system testing, and troubleshooting.
    • Ensure compliance with safety protocols during commissioning activities.
  2. Automation System Design and Implementation:

    • Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for steel and power plants.
    • Work on PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming, SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems, and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) interfaces.
    • Optimize control strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
  3. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

    • Provide technical support for automation systems during regular maintenance and breakdowns.
    • Diagnose and resolve issues related to instrumentation, sensors, and control loops.
    • Collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
  4. Process Optimization:

    • Analyze process data to identify areas for improvement.
    • Implement automation enhancements to optimize production processes.
    • Monitor performance metrics and recommend adjustments as needed.
  5. Documentation and Training:

    • Maintain accurate documentation of automation systems, including schematics, manuals, and configuration details.
    • Train operators and maintenance personnel on system operation and troubleshooting.

Additional Information:

  • Accommodation and local travel expenses will be covered by the client.
  • Experience in the steel and power sector is highly desirable.
