TRS Staffing are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Offshore Wind Civil Construction.

Location: UK (Stoke or Birmingham), plus flexible working from home

The role will see you have overall responsibility for the Civil Construction Strategy, Solution & Performance of the EMEA Offshore Wind civil construction activities.

A key part of the role will be leading & supporting new order capture and representing the business in detailed discussions with key customers and new work pursuit interfaces

You will ensure civil and mechanical construction scope across the portfolio is in accordance with highest health, safety & environment standards, company procedures, contract specifications, quality standards, financial targets and schedule commitments.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop strategies and solutions to ensure offshore wind pursuits have been optimised to meet all technical & customers’ expectations at lowest possible cost.
• Ensures that the civil construction local portfolio of projects is managed consistently, based on best practices and defined processes.
• Monitors the civil construction portfolio performance related to financial performance, claims, timeliness and risk & opportunity management and initiates corrective actions as required by the Project Directors (PD)
• Supports Tendering activities with construction input, ensuring that tenders have a clear, optimized and realistic civil construction execution strategy, sourcing strategy (BOQ, Lump-sum, self-performing, etc) and the correct costing and risk & contingency provisions are being used.
• Verifies and confirms available capacity to execute projects after award.
• Leads and coaches the construction community, with a focus to identify, manage and mitigate risk and capitalize on project opportunities
• Set and drive the coordination with the electrical engineering team to ensure high quality and timely engineering deliveries with civil and mechanical interfaces. Set the strategy for civil design (i.e. in house, external offices, or consultants) on sales pursuits and project by project long term.
• Build strong long-term relations ship with local partners / civil & mechanical contractors for execution of the projects.

Experience Required:
• 10 -15 years’ of work experience in EPC Civil Project Management/Construction.
• Has executed complex civil projects (10 to 50 MUSD+) as Civil PM or similar role.
• Extensive Construction experience
• Experience as a line manager in a multicultural environment
• Experience in Process Management and IS application technology
• Extensive experience is contract negotiations & claim management
• Experience in Offshore Wind
• Experience in Offshore Oil & Gas

Education Required:
• Bachelors or Master’s degree (Civil Engineering, Project Management)
