This is a 4–6-month temporary position with possibility of transforming to full-time, permanent.
Our client is one of Canada's largest cannabis companies! The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years of experience in HR sector within retail, manufacturing, or production environment.
Job Description:
• Act as main point of contact for corporate business groups, advising HR best practices
• Coordinate and participate in the full-cycle recruitment process by creating recruitment strategies, screening applications, conducting interviews, and preparing employment offers in collaboration with Hiring Managers
• Provide best in class service to the organization in support of HR management
• Proactively collaborate with team Managers to identify and plan for human resource needs to meet short and long-term business requirements
• Ensure the efficient operations of the HR team by coordinating recruitment and onboarding activities
• Provide consultation and advice to Managers on a variety of employee relations and human resource issues
• Support the execution of human resource guidelines, policies and procedures that adhere to applicable legislation, regulations, etc.
• Provide comprehensive administrative support to the daily operations of the HR team
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and roll out of HR programs and services
Requirements:
• Post-secondary diploma, degree, or certificate in Human Resources management or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
• Minimum 3 years Generalist and/or coordination experience in Human Resources
• Good understanding and knowledge of human resources principles, best practices and applicable HR legislation
• Proficiency with computer and computer applications including experience with HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite
• Keen attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and be flexible to manage changing priorities on short notice
• Work effectively in an environment where professionalism, high degree of confidentiality, and sensitivity are of primary importance
• Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to take initiative, who is comfortable working independently and with a team
