Location: Ridgeville, SC
Industry: die casting
Status of Hire: full-time/direct
Schedule: M-F / 8am – 5pm.
Pay: $40k-$45k
TRS is seeking an experienced HR Assistant for a direct hire opportunity in Ridgeville, SC! The human resource specialist handles and provides support for various HR employee programs within the organization. Calculates and provides staff with annual fringe benefit allowance; reviews enrollment forms for accuracy and coordinates enrollment with third-party administrator.
Ensures compliance with COBRA guidelines by preparing letters and other paperwork as directed; receives and records COBRA insurance premium payments. Coordinates health, life and disability insurance enrollments and communicates with service providers concerning routine administration of programs.
Human Resources Specialist Job Duties:
• Coordinates annual open enrollment with third-party administrator.
• Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
• Keeps employee records up to date by processing employee status changes in timely fashion.
• Maintains listing of approved positions along with assigned salary levels.
• Processes personnel action forms and ensures proper approvals; disseminates approved forms.
• Assists in hiring process by coordinating job posting on the website, reviewing resumes, and performing telephone interviews, coordinating on-site interviews, and reference checks.
• Assists in the on boarding process for all new hires.
• Maintains the employee handbook and company policies and procedures with updated resolutions and other pertinent information, as needed.
• Assists with training programs for new and current team members.
• Assists with the process of payroll.
• Assists with HR reporting.
• Provides professional customer services to staff, team members, and vendors.
• Provides administrative assistance to the HR department.
• Performs other duties as assign.
Preferred Education and Experience:
• Associate degree
• SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or PHR credential.
Requirements Include:
