Job Title: Human Resources Manager
Location: Greenville/Duncan, SC
Industry: automotive manufacturing
Status of Hire: full-time, direct hire, salaried plus bonus
Compensation: $125-150k depending on experience
Reports to: Plant Director
Direct Reports: 5

TRS is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead strategic efforts in talent development and retention in an automotive manufacturing environment in the Greater Greenville/Duncan, SC area. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the direction and coaching of the HR team, as well as development of operations, supply chain, engineering, finance, IT, and sales workforce in a non-union, 24/7 operation. Areas of expertise should include talent acquisition and development, employee relations and engagement, compliance and metric reporting, and training management.

Responsibilities
Maintain all functional process documentation
Execute staffing plans for the site in an environment of growth and expansion
Manage and maintain HR reporting systems and support HSE reporting as needed
Creation and execution of annual training strategy for all employees
Lead effective and proactive employee communication processes
Build trust and credibility with all employees with legal and consistent application of management practices
Oversee the coordination of HSE initiatives

Activities
Assist in meeting or exceeding organizational targets set by the President & Plant Director
Strategic member of Plant Management Team – aligning HR with business strategy
Facilitate associate communication – pro-active employee relations
Manage recruitment of exempt, non-exempt & hourly associates
Facilitate Career Development & Succession Planning
Manage employee relations/problem solving activities
Develop and manage HR policies and procedures for Plant Operations in coordination with Corporate HR Department
Manage training, safety, payroll, and benefits functions for Plant Operations, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 and all State and Federal regulations regarding same
Ensure compliance and advise management of all State and Federal Regulations in employment practices
Supervise HR and HSE staff or interns
Lead the Employee Engagement Committee and facilitate activities (Recognition, Annual Events, etc.)
Manage community relations through various CSR initiatives
Create a working environment in which problem-solving tools and techniques are applied to effectively resolve issues
Understand the impact of short-term decisions on medium/long-term performance and find the appropriate balance
Encourage team members to participate actively in change when faced with new challenges (technological, organizational, etc.)

Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or similar
- Graduate level degree preferred (BA, HRM, or similar)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as an HR Generalist required with proven history of success leading an HR team in an automotive manufacturing environment
- Professional Certification such as PHR or SPHR a plus
- Must be proficient in all Federal & State Laws- EEOC, Workers Comp, ERISA, ADA, FMLA
- Experience creating and implementing talent development plans, recruiting plans, succession planning, etc.
