Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Technical Expertise

  • Provide design and technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Deliver work independently and in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

  • Prepare deliverables and manage project scope.

Engineering & Environmental Analysis

  • Conduct engineering studies, analysis, and calculations.

  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and material take-offs.

  • Perform and oversee data entry, QA/QC, and data interpretation using statistical tools.

  • Research tasks with input from senior staff and technical experts.

Stakeholder & Regulatory Engagement

  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Support regulatory compliance, permitting activities, and assessment programs.

  • Regularly interact with senior staff, clients, and regulators.

Fieldwork & Coordination

  • Scope, coordinate, and perform fieldwork (e.g., collecting groundwater, soil, and surface water samples).

  • Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and analytical laboratories.

  • Perform subcontractor oversight.

Reporting & Communication

  • Prepare technical presentations, reports, proposals, and other documents.

  • Track and develop project budgets.

  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Entry Level

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification (preferred but not always required).

Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of civil engineering principles, design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D), and analytical tools.

  • Strong problem-solving and mathematical abilities.

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to learn and apply industry standards and regulations.

Experience:

  • Internship or coursework in civil engineering projects.

  • Exposure to site visits, engineering drawings, and report writing.

  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and decision-making abilities.

  • Knowledge of industry regulations, environmental considerations, and contract negotiation.

  • Strategic planning and business development experience.

Experience:

  • 8+ years of industry experience, including leading multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Direct involvement in large-scale infrastructure projects.

  • Experience in regulatory approvals, permitting, and compliance oversight.

  • Managing budgets, schedules, and project execution.
