The role will see you safely lead all aspects of the package and provide support and strategy guidance to all members of the package team for the onshore cable works.
CERTIFICATIONS
- A degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- High level safety qualifications such as NEBOSH would be an advantage
REQUIREMENTS
- A strong and positive attitude to Health, Safety, Environment and Security.
- Able to lead the package in HSES
- Extensive experience of working on onshore cable installation projects (experience of substation construction or other large scale linear projects is an advantage)
- A proven track record in civil engineering, and construction management An excellent understanding of the range of available civil engineering techniques, including trenchless with a practical approach to implementation.
- Co-ordinate with other Packages and provide support to interface Managers. This is to include the support to the Consent and Land team and Third parties as per Project requirements.
- Monitor for the compliance of the Project Quality KPI’s with the support of the Quality Managers.
- Knowledge of HV cable systems is preferred
- Fluent in English speaking / writing
- Excellent Leadership and Communication Skills
- Experience on large-scale renewable projects is desirable
SCOPE OF WORKS
- The role shall lead the Onshore Cables works Package to complete the installation and reinstatement
- of the site including any temporary works areas ahead of handover of the constructed apparatus to
- the respective operations teams.
- The package manager shall have experience of large-scale construction of the onshore elements of
- offshore wind farm developments. This shall include experience of the civil, electrical and
- reinstatement aspects of the onshore installations. The role shall also have experience of Electrical
- Installations, testing & commissioning of HV systems and cables.
- The package manager will need to deliver Contracts in conjunction with understanding and
- complying with any consenting, legal and industry standards.
DELIVERABLES
- The Onshore Cables Package Manager shall continue to develop the requirements for the package
- utilising other business and technical support functions as required to lead the package for the
- Employer through construction, complete any required reinstatement and ultimately hand over to
- operations.
- The Package Manager shall ensure Health, Safety and Environmental considerations are prioritised
- throughout all aspects of the package work including the KPI reporting to the management.
