Our client, a major leader in the offshore wind industry, are currently hiring for a brand new opportunity to be part of a very exciting new offshore wind project in the UK as a Electrical Project Manager.
Description
Overall responsibility for all project activities necessary to deliver the electrical transmission system of the offshore wind project, in accordance with established Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), quality, schedule and cost targets.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the full delivery of the electrical transmission system, including substations, grid connection, and export cables.

Prioritise HSE throughout design, construction, and operations to eliminate or reduce risks.

Manage cost, schedule, quality, and change control, including technical, commercial, and resource planning.

Coordinate across packages and suppliers (WTGs, cables, procurement, permitting) to ensure aligned, safe, on‑time and on‑budget delivery.

Provide leadership and governance, including reporting, lessons learned, strategic decision support, and representing the electrical system in contractor and project leadership forums.
Qualifications
-
Degree level education or similar
-
Working knowledge of Electrical Engineering or closely related Engineering or technical degree.

All necessary certificates, which are required to perform Offshore works

Degree or Chartership in Project Management and membership of recognised Project Management organisation such as APM

Knowledge of standards associated with delivery of an Offshore Substation and offshore works.
Must have experience
-
Experience delivering large, complex capital projects through development and construction phase

Experience of HV and EHV transmission systems

Knowledge of grid infrastructure
-
Strong influencing and negotiation skills with suppliers and grid operators

Strong level of competency in contract management, claims management, negotiation techniques and dispute resolution methodologies

A flexible approach to work and willingness to travel frequently within UK and abroad
