We currently seek a HR Manager for our Manufacturing Client in Portsmouth, NH.

Position Overview:
Based in Portsmouth, NH, the Human Resources (HR) Manager will be responsible for developing and delivering a wide range of HR initiatives and proactively providing hands on guidance and consultation to the organization. The HR Manager will partner with managers and a small team of HR professionals to support workforce needs. As a trusted partner to functional leaders in the plant, the HR Manager will work on organizational issues including management effectiveness and change management. He/she will have responsibility for supporting associates at two facilities. This role will report to the General Manager of the business unit, with a dotted line to corporate HR.

Responsibilities:
Compliance, Safety & Health:
Champion a culture committed to established company safety procedures and processes.
Lead the location Safety Process, including managing all OSHA Programs and Workers
Compensation.
Ensure implementation of compensation and benefits programs to support the business objectives. Provide program guidance to associates regarding benefits of employment, including, but not limited to vacation, retirement, health insurance, etc.
Support compliance programs, including but not limited to EEOC and FLSA.

Recruitment, Retention and Engagement:
Foster a working environment that promotes open communications, teamwork and individual engagement to accomplish goals and objectives.
Act as a trusted advisor and thought leader to the Manufacturing Manager, and management team on all location matters (strategic and operating).
Communicate, educate and influence stakeholders across the organization relative to plant practices and performance.
Hire, coach and mentor team members to accomplish operational objectives.
Lead the talent acquisition process including developing job descriptions, posting jobs, sourcing talent and interviewing candidates; maintain the applicant tracking system.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources.
7+ years of manufacturing experience and 5+ years of Human Resources experience. Multi- site experience preferred.
Proven ability to engage associates.
Spanish language proficiency a must.
Ability to manage projects, timelines and deliverables.
Willingness to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
Evidence of self-initiative, personal accountability, and follow through.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with agility to juggle competing tasks and demands.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
