Our partner, a leading renewable energy company, is looking to add an HRIS and Payroll Administrator to their team. This position will be FULLY REMOTE and the opportunity to work within an innovative culture, dedicated to a clean energy future!

POSITION SUMMARY
The HRIS and Payroll Analyst administers the activities relating to the company payroll and HRIS processing including developing, implementing, and monitoring (e.g., performing internal audit and control procedures to ensure that all wages and taxes are accurate). The individual will be the company’s subject matter expert with all payroll activities, and HRIS administration.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
• Compiling payroll data such as pay rates, vacation time, insurance and 401(k) deductions
• Auditing employee information and contacting employees for any missing information
• Processing payroll bi‐monthly through company designated payroll software system
• Pulling payroll management reports from payroll software system
• Accurately keying all payroll related data necessary to process and meet payroll schedules
• Keeping abreast of the payroll processing system and changes in wage and tax laws, and corresponding with federal, state, and local tax agencies
• Maintaining employee files and information on the HRIS system
• Coordinating with Benefits providers to ensure all relevant inputs like FSA etc.
• Responding to employee questions and concerns regarding payroll and deductions by researching payroll files and records; receives payroll complaints and attempts to resolve them; explains payroll procedures and policies; refers matters requiring policy interpretation to manger for resolution
• Responsible for 401k administration to include adding and changing employee information, transferring of funds, roll-overs, withdrawals, notifying newly eligible employees during open enrollment, the distribution process and year end compliance. Managing all coordination with 401K administrator and auditing agencies
• Assisting with exiting employees with benefits information, insurance questions, and closing out employee files
• Setting up new payroll tax ID’s for states
• Filing Payroll Tax Forms monthly, quarterly and annually
• Implementing and maintaining payroll best practices to improve efficiency and consult with the HR team to improve payroll and HRIS processes


QUALIFICATIONS
• A college graduate from a 4-year institution with at least 5 years of HR Generalist experience.
• Solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws required
• Proven facility in MS Office, data entry and office equipment (e.g., telephone, head set, 10-key or calculator, computers, FAX machine, printer/copier)
• Prior experience with ADP is a plus
• Proven facility in customer service, and problem resolution
• Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills
• Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
