HSE LEAD (SITE ROTATION) - This role will proactively engage and provide leadership for the project team to drive continuous improvement of the H&S management system including maintaining the project legal obligations register and oversees associated compliance activities.
Employment Status: Independent Contractor
Site Location: Elk Valley Region, BC
Rotation: 8 days on/6 days off
Working Hours: 12 hour shift per day (days and nights)
Accommodation: None
Requirements:
- Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety preferred; however previous in-field mining or construction safety experience would be considered.
- Minimum of 7 years of H&S experience in the mining or heavy construction industries.
- Understands the principles of Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Mitigation.
- Ability to support the project leadership in executing projects through the development of Risk Assessments, Inductions and Emergency Response Plans.
- Basic understanding of regulatory framework associated with appropriate local, national and international safety and environmental regulations.
- Intermediate level skills for Microsoft Office products.
