HSE Supervisor

For our client Fluor Engineering NV we are in search of a HSE Supervisor for steel project in Walloon region. In this function, you are responsible for the correct implementation of Health, Safety and Environmental regulations as well as for HSE Supervision during construction activities. During the construction and commissioning phase of the project scope you are responsible for making sure that all technical details are in line with law procedures and requirements.

Your daily work activities consist of:
- Implementation of the HSE philosophy on-site
- Conceptual design of HSE systems and integration of HSE rules in the general technical design
- Coordination and preparation of HSE related documents for permits and licenses
- Informing external clients and subcontractors regrading site guidelines and following up they are in line with the described procedures
- Facilitating of HSE review sessions
- Preparation of toolboxes and attend those
- Advising the project director and other MT members concerning the labor environment
- Educate your co-workers towards designing the work plans
- Organizing, planning and reporting work space inspections
- Perform internal audits
- Frequently give safety instructions to personnel. Guidance in behavioral adjustments concerning HSE
- Safety onboarding new employees or temporary workers
- Keep HSE reports up to date

We are in need of someone with the following skills:
- PA2 level – preferably with technical background
- VCA VOL certification
- 10 years of experience in similar position (construction related projects)
- At least 5 years of experience in engineering projects (oil&gas, chemicals, pharmaceutical…)
- Experience in metal industry is a plus
- Knowledge of Belgian HSE law
- Knowledge of French, English and preferably Dutch
