As an HVAC Design Engineer within our EPC organisation, you will be responsible for the design, specification, and engineering development of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems across complex industrial and commercial projects. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams through all project phases—including FEED, detailed design, procurement, construction, and commissioning—to deliver safe, efficient, and compliant HVAC solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Engineering

Develop HVAC system designs, including heat load calculations, system sizing, equipment selection, airflow distribution, and ductwork layouts.

Produce engineering deliverables such as P&IDs, HVAC schematics, layouts, specifications, and datasheets.

Conduct heat transfer and thermal performance analysis for various building and process spaces.

Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, codes, and project requirements (ASHRAE, CIBSE, ISO, local building regulations, etc.).

Coordinate HVAC design requirements across multidisciplinary teams (electrical, structural, architectural, process, instrumentation).
Project Delivery

Support FEED, detailed design, and EPC project phases with timely and accurate engineering outputs.

Review vendor proposals, perform technical bid evaluations, and support equipment procurement processes.

Work with construction teams to resolve design queries and ensure constructability of HVAC systems.

Participate in site visits, inspections, and commissioning support as required.
Documentation & Quality

Create and maintain engineering documentation in accordance with project quality standards.

Contribute to risk assessments, design reviews, and HAZOP/HAZID sessions.

Maintain accurate design records and ensure document control compliance.
Collaboration & Communication

Interface with clients, contractors, and suppliers to clarify design requirements and resolve technical issues.

Present designs and technical solutions during internal and client-facing meeting
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

Proven experience in HVAC design, ideally within EPC, consulting engineering, or industrial projects.
