Location: Delhi (Corporate Office, Gurugram)
Travel Requirement: Regular travel to Mumbai with operations team
Contract Type: 1-year extendable (TRS payroll)
Reporting Line: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Joining Timeline: Within 25–30 days
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Project Cost Controller to oversee financial discipline and cost management for offshore oil & gas projects involving platforms, risers, jackets, and pipelay operations. This role is critical to ensuring accurate cost planning, effective monitoring, and timely revenue generation across the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement cost planning aligned with project execution schedules.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial monitoring activities.
- Evaluate offshore bids and contribute to cost and spread estimation.
- Prepare comprehensive cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Manage budget variances and support variation order claims.
- Monitor project CAPEX, validate contractor invoices, track purchase orders, and align with revenue streams to avoid resource idling.
- Administer change orders in compliance with project control procedures.
The role requires close coordination with:
- Project teams at site
- Operations & strategy teams at office
- Procurement teams
- Finance teams
- Experience: 12–15 years in project cost control for offshore oil & gas EPC projects
- Education: Engineering and financial background aligned with the role requirements
- Strong understanding of EPC, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of offshore projects
- Proficiency in cost reporting, cash flow forecasting, and variance analysis
- Ability to enforce financial discipline across complex project environments
