We are looking for an Instrument Supervisor to work in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea. As the Instrument Supervisor you will be managing a core crew team of to deliver all instrument maintenance requirements. This team will be supplemented by vendors and adhoc teams as required.
  1. To have sufficient understanding of process safety and major accident hazard management to be able to effectively contribute and influence business decisions impacting process safety.
  2. Commit to MOUK incident free operations and actively promote within their team.
  3. Actively support a working environment based on respect for health, safety and environmental issues and maintenance of a high level of asset integrity.
  4. Where appropriate, position to provide input to major accident hazard management, in particular the prevention, detection, control, mitigation, and response to major accidents.
  5. Participate as a member of the Chief engineer’s team in delivering MOUK performance against targets.
  6. Ensures that the maintenance workload is executed efficiently.
  7. Responsible for the supervision of vendors and contractors carrying out maintenance activities.
  8. Responsible for managing the SBT management offshore including SBT fittings, storage, vendors, and competency.
  9. Build effective working relationships with other departments and shifts.
  10. Ensure necessary preparation for relevant scheduled activities.
  11. Lead, supervise on site and actively support the instrument technicians and vendors to ensure that the maintenance work is executed in a safe, efficient and timely manner giving due regard to quality of work done.
  12. Ensure that the underlying causes of failures are understood, and that action is taken to avoid repeat failures.
  13. Supervise, coach, and support direct reports in a professional manner.
  14. Bring defects in practices, equipment, and tools to the attention of relevant staff.
  15. Liaise with projects, vendors, and OEMs so as to maintain maintenance plans and documentation.
  16. Maintain accurate and appropriate maintenance records and ensure that the data is entered into the appropriate information management systems.
  17. Raise relevant work permits in a timely manner.
  18. Execute duties as specified in station/bill/emergency response procedures or as directed by OIM/Maintenance Superintendent.
  19. Ensure that high quality standards of housekeeping and cleanliness are maintained.
  20. Ensure that adequate stocks of equipment and materials are maintained.
  21. Encourage good, open communication promoting involvement, participation and adherence to company values.
  22. Comply with Company procedures and ensure a full and comprehensive handover detailing all relevant information in accordance with these procedures.
  23. Commit to MOUK Competence Assurance System and undertake any training and assessment required for the role.
 
  • The instrument supervisor will have the:
  • Ability to lead and work in a team, resolving day-to-day operational issues as they occur.
  • Ability to manage system issues and liaise with external support teams to bring resolutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple workscopes, prioritising and allocating resources as required for the best outcome for the asset.
  • Ability to review plans for SIMOPS issues and resolve clashes before they manifest at site.
  • Ability to carry out complex fault-finding review and assistance with plan optimisation, liaising with Client & vendors both remotely and locally to resolve issues


Knowledge & Qualifications:
  • S/NVQ Process Engineering Maintenance (Instrument and Control) Level 3 or equivalent and Valid COMPEX cert
  • Experience of maintenance scheduling, organising, coordinating and controlling/monitoring work.
  • Experience in the control and use of “Safe Systems of Work” (PTW) including their procedures.
  • Vendor management experience.
  • Has a detailed knowledge of instrument maintenance practices applicable to offshore oil and gas assets, associated technical standards and relevant legislation.
  • Ability to conduct fault finding, installation, isolation and re-instatement on communications, control and instrument systems.
  • Knowledge of fire and gas detection, ESD systems and small-bore tubing maintenance and inspection.
