Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer

Our client, a leading Engineering Consultancy with projects throughout Canada, is seeking an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer to join their team in Prince George, BC. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in geotechnical design and project management.

Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be involved with conducting geotechnical analyses, construction reviews, and field work related to the geotechnical area. They will develop geotechnical reports and engage in work associated with foundation design, retaining structures, slope stability assessments, asphalt pavement structure design, gravel pavement structure design, etc.

Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geological Engineer or related education
- 5+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering with a focus on municipal projects including land development, roads, etc.
- Previous experience with materials testing would be considered an asset
- Knowledge of the Northern BC area would be considered an asset
- P.Eng designation is a must
- Outstanding communication skills– written and verbal
