Our esteemed client is a leading distributor of precision surveying, construction testing equipment, and nuclear gauges in Southern Africa, with nearly 90 years of industry presence.

We are seeking an experienced administrator for Internal Sales and Workshop Administration to support both the commercial and technical sides of the business.  This role is located in Johannesburg.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Telephonic enquiries, email enquiries, counters sales enquiries (customer walk in) and orders from customers on Ariba, Coupa and other portals.
  • Drawing up quotations on repairs, spares, following up on quotations from the workshop.
  • Generate invoices as required.
  • General office duties to be performed as and when required.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers and provide assistance with problems these customers may encounter.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products and services to meet customer needs.
  • Follow up on orders and quotes submitted, call on dormant customers to generate sales and reestablish relationships.
  • Actively prospect and qualify new leads through various channels such as phone calls, emails, and networking.
  • Prepare and present quotations to customers, negotiating terms and closing sales.

Qualifications & Skills Requirements:
  • Matric Certificate.
  • Applicants should be computer literate and have an excellent command of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Syspro is advantageous.
  • Technical knowledge of Survey and Laboratory products and their application would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of customers in the industry.
  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar role would be preferred.

  • In-depth knowledge of repair processes and spare parts related to equipment commonly serviced.
  • Ability to understand technical specifications and communicate them effectively to customers.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-focused approach with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in order processing and documentation.
  • Proactive attitude towards identifying sales opportunities and addressing customer concerns.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
