The role will see you play a key role in the development, delivery and operation of Irish Renewable energy projects. Providing Electrical Engineering support to all technologies throughout the complete lifecycle from feasibility, design, construction and operation.
The Role
• Deliver expert electrical engineering solutions, embedding quality and operational excellence.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing, collaborative team.
• Set and uphold engineering standards, ensuring compliance and innovation.
• Provide technical leadership, supporting critical business needs and high-voltage projects.
• Investigate and integrate emerging technologies to optimize HV asset management.
You’ll be a proven leader successful in delivering projects / programmes, establishing / managing relationships, securing and maintaining a safe environment, managing priorities, and inspiring and influencing behaviours and actions.
Experience / Certifications
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of an engineering degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Chartered membership of an appropriate body is desirable.
• NEBOSH or IOSH (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
• Accreditation under WTSR and HVSR is desirable.
• Specialist in at least one engineering discipline within the renewable energy sector.
• Strong experience of managing risks and challenges in a renewable’s environment.
• Experience of coaching / mentoring less experienced team members.
• Strong commitment to safety, health, environment and quality.
• Highly proficient in key areas of engineering in the renewable’s environment.
• Excellent at building successful relationships with external partners, peers, stakeholders and reporting line.
• Computer literate with a good command of Microsoft Office package (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point, etc.).
• Flexible to travel around the UK and overseas as the role requires.
• Excellent (English), oral and written, communication skills.
