Lead Estimator

The Opportunity

Our client, an industry leader in the Construction sector is looking for a Lead Estimator to join their team in Richmond, BC. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to further progress their careers within the General Contracting industry. The ideal candidate will have direct experience in Transportation, estimating the construction of Light Rail, Roads, Bridges, Tunnels and Highways.

As a Lead Estimator, you will report to the Chief Estimator with the following responsibilities:
• Coordinate and read drawings with applicable comments; estimates and design options
• Develop work breakdown structure (WBS); pricing, project scheduling and cost estimates
• Create and manage procurement packages; quotes, negotiation and vendor pricing
• Strong knowledge of RFI process, submittal and execution

Qualifications
• Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience within Transportation construction
• Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent with experience; P.Eng is desired.
• Strong attention to detail with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines
