Our client is an industry leader that has successfully performed a variety of large-scale infrastructure projects across Canada.
Salary Range: $180,000 - $220,000
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business leaders on approval policies.
- Lead the Legal team on disclosure, financings, transactions, and compliance.
- Develop proactive solutions to mitigate business risks.
- Oversee and ensure compliance with policies and procedures, including maintaining corporate contract templates.
- Support senior management.
- Serve as a strategic partner to the commercial director.
- Manage external legal counsel as needed.
- Coordinate with business unit leaders on corporate approval policies.
- Offer expert legal advice on various claims issues.
- Draft agreements to minimize risks and maximize rights.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of post-call legal experience.
- Strong understanding of Canadian law and issues related to public company legal and governance.
- Active member of the Law Society in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Preferred experience in construction law, litigation management, and procurement for PPP and EPC projects within civil and industrial infrastructure.
- Proven track record in managing disputes from initiation to resolution, including mediation, litigation, arbitration, and adjudication.
