Logistics Coordinator

Our client are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Logistics Coordinator to join their team on a long-term contract basis. In this on-site role, you will play a vital role in supporting the effective movement of pharmaceutical products for a major project. Prior experience working within a pharmaceutical or similar environment is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Logistics Manager in developing and implementing the project's logistics plan.
• Manage day-to-day logistics operations, including order processing, shipment scheduling, and carrier coordination.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of shipping documents, adhering to strict compliance standards (e.g., GDP, IATA).
• Maintain accurate inventory records for pharmaceutical products within the warehouse, ensuring proper temperature control and quality control procedures.
• Track and monitor shipments, providing updates and resolving any transportation issues.
• Communicate effectively with internal departments (e.g., manufacturing, regulatory) and external partners (e.g., suppliers, carriers) to ensure smooth logistics flow.
• Assist with data entry and maintain logistics databases.
• Prepare reports on logistics activities and identify potential areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics or a related field.
• Prior experience working within the pharmaceutical industry or a similar controlled environment is a strong plus.
• Excellent understanding of basic logistics principles, including transportation modes, documentation requirements, and inventory management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
