The ideal candidate will have:
• An Engineering degree
• A minimum of 10-15 years maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing a maintenance team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of best practices and technologies
• Proven history of building relationships, implementing maintenance reliability programs, and managing teams in a unionized environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
Key Responsibilities:
• Proactively work to reduce safety risks while creating a safety-first culture
• Drive operational excellence in the areas of safety, quality, delivery and cost
• Drive employee engagement strategies to produce a proactive and positive culture
• Work pro-actively to ensure implementation of a unified maintenance methodology and approach.
• Manage the maintenance team, planning and budgeting process and ensure maintenance budget compliance.
• Ensure maintenance performance monitoring & reporting.
• Manage overall level of spare parts including selection of appropriate spare part management programs and target inventory levels.
• Plan, implement and direct a comprehensive, effective and cost-efficient preventative maintenance program.
• Ensure fulfillment of agreed level of equipment reliability and availability.
• Develop and apply KPIs and metrics to track the progress of reliability programs
• Resolve maintenance issues with the Site Leader as required.
