The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 10 years of experience in estimating of multi-disciplinary engineering and contracting projects.
- Technical education: BE/ BTECH level.
- Engineers working in establishment like: Iron & Steel Plant, EPC companies.
- Knowledge of estimation techniques, i.e. industrial pricing for man hours, construction, materials and project management.
- Insight in multi-disciplinary engineering and contracting activities for the (heavy) process industry.
- Close coordination with Estimation and Proposal Team.
- Create (partial) estimates and budgets for proposals on technical (hardware and hours) and commercial aspects.
- Analyze proposals from suppliers and calculations of colleagues and set/derive KPI’s for further calculations.
- Support/inform of Proposal Manager to setting of target budgets.
- Co-determine (possible) guarantee risks and financing deficits.
- Create cashflow schemes and related payment schedules.
- Keep track of price developments of main suppliers and subcontractors in consultation with Procurement department
- Propose alternatives due to changes in the project execution plan.
- Collect additional technical data to optimize the accuracy of the proposals.
- Check and (if required) correct the estimates of colleagues.
- Conduct recalculations on closed projects in collaboration with Project Controlling.
- Optimize the proposal tools and techniques.
- Adhere to the QHSE procedures and instruction.
