Mechanical Engineer

Our client, one of the largest petrochemical companies in the world, are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to work with them on a contract basis, OUTSIDE OF IR-35. 

Role Overview: Provide Mechanical Engineering expertise to ensure regulatory compliance, asset safety, reliability, and efficiency. Responsibilities include maintaining asset integrity, leading mechanical maintenance, and supporting day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and maintain critical assets and protective systems.
• Develop and execute maintenance schedules and improvement plans.
• Manage CAPEX and maintenance budgets.
• Provide technical support for mechanical work and ensure safety compliance.
• Lead and motivate mechanical maintenance teams.

 

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven industrial experience in the petrochemical or equivalent manufacturing sector.
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical maintenance practices and COMAH top tier chemical plant management.
• Strong planning, budgetary management, and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
