Our client, a globally leading EPC, seeks an experienced Mechanical LOTO Coordinator to support health and safety standards and prevent dangers with mechanical energy sources on a large pharma project in the Copenhagen area.
About the Role
We’re looking for a seasoned Mechanical LOTO Coordinator with extensive hands‑on experience in managing and coordinating mechanical lockout/tagout (LOTO) activities within a pharma setting.
Key Responsibilities

LOTO Coordination & Implementation: Manage and coordinate mechanical lockout/tagout (LOTO) activities across the project, ensuring safe isolation of non‑electrical energy sources during construction, commissioning, and maintenance works.
-
Energy Isolation Planning: Develop and review isolation plans for mechanical systems (e.g. piping, utilities, pressure systems), ensuring all energy sources are clearly identified, controlled, and verified.
-
RAMS & Permit Review: Review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and permit documentation to ensure appropriate isolation and LOTO controls are in place prior to execution of works.
-
Verification & Compliance: Oversee and perform LOTO verification activities to confirm systems are safely de‑energised and zero‑energy states are achieved in line with site procedures.
-
Cross‑Discipline Coordination: Interface with Mechanical, Piping, Process, EHS, and Construction teams to ensure consistent application of LOTO procedures across all work fronts.
-
Safety & Regulatory Alignment: Ensure LOTO practices align with GMP requirements, site EHS standards, and relevant regulatory guidelines within a pharmaceutical environment.
-
Documentation & Tracking: Maintain accurate records of isolations, lock registers, and LOTO documentation, providing clear visibility and traceability for project stakeholders.
