Mechalnical/Ops Commissioning Lead
Location: Nysa, Poland (on-site)
Contract: B2B (Polish terms)
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise the Commissioning Engineers under your direct responsibility.
- Prepare commissioning reports by identifying activities, status, and performance.
- Confirm effective application of all tools, techniques, and programs by maintaining strategic commissioning programs, including pre-commissioning programs, preservation, preventative and predictive maintenance, and computerized maintenance management systems.
- Review engineering drawings and specifications to implement discipline-specific commissioning practices, tools, techniques, and programs.
- Organize vendor training classes for Commissioning and Start-up and/or client personnel.
- Establish project-specific written commissioning procedures.
- Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines.
- Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards.
- Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies.
- Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Commissioning Manager.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing established project procedures relating to safety, work permitting, and work order systems; adhere to legal requirements.
- Report discipline progress against scheduled activities.
- Ensure effective application of all strategic commissioning/start-up tools, techniques, and programs (i.e., commissioning manual, field reference guidelines, manufacturers’ recommendations, current equivalent completions program, standard industry practices, etc.).
- Interface with the Client team and other project disciplines (Design Engineering, Training, Procurement, Quality Assurance, Construction, Operations, and Maintenance).
- Day-to-day progress monitoring and reporting.
- Input to, production, and checking of Commissioning Documentation (including Test Documentation, Commissioning Reports).
- Responsible for production and checking of the Commissioning Test Documentation.
- Responsible for the execution of commissioning tests to schedule.
- Responsible for the satisfactory completion of all commissioning execution records and results and control of all raw data associated with the tests they carry out.
- Compilation and review of Commissioning Quality packages.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer in industrial or manufacturing settings.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, water distribution systems, pumps, chillers, boilers, and other mechanical equipment
- Understanding of mechanical safety rules and regulations.
- Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical, power, or advanced technology industries.
- Leadership experience in commissioning and start-up projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Primavera, and MS Project.
