Their marquee work includes projects under Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (PGCIL), the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), and major Metro Electrification projects in Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chennai.

Job Description:
The MEP Engineer is responsible for the design, execution, coordination, testing, and commissioning of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems in metro rail projects. The role ensures that all systems are installed as per approved standards, specifications, safety regulations, and project timelines.

Role Overview
An MEP Engineer in a metro project is responsible for the design, installation, coordination, testing, and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems required for metro infrastructure.

Key responsibilities:
  • Site execution of MEP work as per shop drawing. Quantification of material from shop drawings.
  • Indenting material as per site requirement & issue to the sub-contractor & their reconciliation.
  • Preference to have experience in MEP system of Metro, general services including lighting, Earth-Mat & HVAC, DG sets, UPS, Fire Fighting, FAS & Plumbing System of Stations.
  • Strong understanding of sub-contractor billing and client RFI certifications for billing,
  • Project schedules, and resource allocation to achieve cost efficiency and timely completion.
  • Excellent communication and all stakeholders to be communicated in proper manner.
  • Manage system integration, testing, and commissioning to ensure seamless operation and interoperability of all project components with client certifications.
  • Coordinate with Client, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to resolve site issues and ensure project execution timelines.
  • Enforce strict adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines during execution of the work at site. All day-to-day safety procedures to be followed at site.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring proactive solutions to technical and operational challenges.
  • Provide DPR to Client/ Consultants and other stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and corrective actions.
  • Successfully executed the metro project till handing over stage to the client.
  • Knowledge for preparation of as-built drawing for all E&M Systems and the operation & maintenance manuals.
  • Knowledge of Material MIR to be prepared & signed by client.
Required Skills and qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.E. / B. Tech) in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering
  • Total Experience min 6 years
  • Metro Project Experience Minimum of 3 years, specifically in metro or rail projects
