NBR Superintendent (Jacking Structures)

Job Summary:
As a Newbuild Rig Superintendent - Jacking Structures, your primary responsibility is to oversee the overall fabrication and construction of jacking structures.

Key accountabilities: 

1. Build Strategy and Planning:

   • Collaborate closely with production engineers and the engineering department during the initial project stages to develop a robust build strategy.
   • Plan the fabrication, sub-assembly, and assembly scheduling based on project requirements.

2. Dimensional Control and Construction Sequence:

   • Maintain stringent dimensional controls to ensure effective and smooth handover for interfacing with critical components.
   • Coordinate the pre and post painting works, including interfacing with other trades for the installation of critical equipment.

3. Material Procurement and Delivery:

   • Work closely with the procurement department and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
   • Verify that equipment delivery aligns with system specifications.

4. On-Site Coordination and Reporting:

   • Provide on-site coordination for all phases of work, including allocating workers and subcontractors.
   • Monitor day-to-day project progress, ensuring adherence to the project schedule and budget.
   • Regularly report progress and manage construction deliverables.

5. Subcontractor Coordination:

   • Conduct weekly schedule coordination meetings with subcontractor foremen.
   • Distribute three-week look-ahead schedules and communicate requirements effectively.

6. Problem-Solving and HSEQ Compliance:

   • Demonstrate strong decision-making skills and the ability to conceptualize plans for dealing with construction challenges.
   • Ensure compliance with shipyard health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) regulations.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Engineering Degree required
• At least 12 years newbuild experience with Jack up rigs, Semi Submersible rigs, Offshore drilling rigs, MODU, MOPU, Liftboats
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in the English Language.
