NX CAD Designer

Summary:
The proper candidate will be responsible for the design and development of company product, component packaging, bracketry, weldments, NX cad models and drawings.


Job Duties:
• Work with the design engineers to develop the detailed design of integrated systems to meet customer expectations.
• Create production drawings to ASME and automotive standards and follow the documented release procedures for issuing the drawings to production/procurement.
• Support component selection, specification generation, sourcing and vendor communication.
• Perform changes to existing drawings.
• Generate and maintain engineering Bill of Materials for development projects.
• Adopt and implement the Quality Assurance Procedures-QAP and Departmental Work Instructions-DWI, identified in QEMS Employee Training Matrix located on the LAN.

Requirements / Must haves:
• Engineering Design and Drafting Certificate or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Design drafting
• NX user, NX sheet metal, and NX drafting
• Parametric Modeling
• Modeling courses (CAD)
• Knowledge of ASME Y14.5M-1994
• Application of GD & T
• TeamCenter
• Knowledge of welding and manufacturing processes

Preferred:
• A minimum of 5 years in automotive product design.
• Knowledge of change processor ECAs, ECNs
