Location: Chattanooga, TN
Status of Hire: full-time, direct hire
Pay Rate: $35.77/hr
Shift: 3rd shift 11p-7a with occasional weekends
Reports to: Paint Maintenance Supervisor
Main Mission:
Ensures that all automotive paint line, automated equipment, and paint line auxiliary equipment are kept in a functional and safe condition by leading predictive, preventive, and curative maintenance efforts.
Main Responsibilities:
- Plans and carries out preventive maintenance of automated paint line machinery, paint mixing systems, and water and utility services
- Efficiently repairs paint line and auxiliaries during downtime
- Supervises external companies providing contract maintenance and repair
- Reduction of unscheduled machinery and equipment downtime
- Participates in continuous improvement processes and activities
- Retains and updates maintenance documentation in CMMS or SAP as necessary
- Maintains stocks of necessary spare parts for paint line equipment
- Supports and trains junior paint maintenance associates
- Implements and observes good 5S practices in all work areas
- May relieve fellow team members for their breaks
Requirements:
- Proven experience (5 years) in maintenance of big production equipment; experience maintaining automated paint application equipment and related paint delivery systems preferred
- Technician certification with a specialty in hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, as well as ABB robots
- Experience in troubleshooting ABB robotics and paint application process equipment
- Computer skills
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Customer-oriented
