Permitting Manager

Our client is a major player in the natural gas industry and are seeking a Permitting Manager to join their team in beautiful Vancouver, BC. In this position you will be reporting to the Senior Regulatory Manager to obtain permits and approvals for projects. You will lead and supervise the environmental management practices of a construction project while ensuring dedication to corporate community responsibility.

Key Job Duties:
• Preparing and obtaining required permits and approvals
• Collaborating with internal teams and external contractors to advance project design
• Develop and implement a management system and track compliance with regulatory and environmental commitments
• Provide support for the team by responding to media, government, Indigenous and NGO groups and implement actions for the Company’s environmental aspirations
• Influence safety behavior and support a culture of environmental respect
• Comply with HSE policies and guidelines

Key Qualifications:
• University Degree in an environmental discipline
• A minimum of 12 years’ experience including work on large natural resource or infrastructure projects in Western Canada
• Experience managing a range of regulatory and permitting processes
• Experience obtaining approvals including permits for major projects
• Oil and gas sector experience; or experience working on large marine infrastructure projects in and around British Columbia
