Here is an exciting opportunity to join a mega project in beautiful Kitimat British Columbia as a Piping Supervisor! You would be working within a growing EPCM/ construction firm with projects worldwide where you would be joining a team of talent professionals working towards a common goal. This opportunity boasts longevity, a great work-life balance with a 14/7 rotation and executive accommodation.
The successful candidate for this role will be working within the project commissioning team promoting accountability and leading by example in accordance with the commissioning schedule. The Piping Supervisor would be responsible for coordination between the client, vendors and subcontractors across the project.
Job Duties:
- Drive/Lead piping scoping sessions and work with Commissioning Supervisors.
- Hold direct conversations with foreman on execution steps to ensure productive workflow and to ensure HSE alignment.
- Follow up with construction and Pre-com counter parts for SIMOP’s activities.
- Ensure work is completed as per ITP and ITRs are being completed and signed off progressively.
- Mentor Commissioning Supervision to grow skills in Safety, Schedule Compliance, Contract Compliance and general construction management.
- Successfully managed piping activities on projects, fully knowledgeable and experienced in the means, processes and methods needed to successfully construct and install aboveground piping systems regardless of metallurgy, size, and wall thickness.
- Experience with Compressor piping installation, and pipe strains is preferred.
- Successfully supervised and managed foremen and subcontractors on projects.
- Red Seal will be considered an asset.
