Here is an exciting opportunity to join our client in Calgary, AB as a Pressure Vessel Engineer! You would be at work within a growing EPCM/construction firm with projects worldwide and joining a team of talented professionals all working towards one goal. This role has excellent growth opportunity, assisting the successful candidate to further develop their career with the support of other engineers, technical experts, and lead mechanical engineers.
Key Job Duties:
• Prepare design calculations, drawings, data sheets and specifications for pressure vessel equipment and tanks.
• Prepare technical bid evaluations for pressure vessel equipment and tanks.
• Review supplier drawings and data during detail design phase after PO award.
• Prepare construction work packages for assigned equipment.
• Provide technical support from home office during construction, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Support projects in early phases with preliminary vessel sizing, designs, and cost estimates.
Key Requirements:
• Minimum of 4-year Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree
• 5 - 10 years’ experience with pressure vessel equipment and internals in the oil and gas, chemical processing, or related industries
• Canadian Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) designation in at least one province
• Knowledge and experience with the specification, mechanical design, bid evaluation and support of vendors in the fabrication of ASME pressure vessel equipment including columns, towers, separators, receivers, drums, reactors, knockout pots, shop and field fabricated storage tanks, storage bullets, etc.
• In depth knowledge of Canadian and Alberta regulatory requirements and codes including Safety Codes Act, PESR, ABSA, CSA B51, APEGA, etc.
