The Manager, Software Applications is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and maintenance of IT software systems supporting business operations across global locations. This role encompasses strategic alignment, team management, enterprise architecture, and compliance adherence, requiring a visionary leader with deep technical expertise and strong communication skills.
Major Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Translate business goals into technical strategies
- Develop and maintain technology roadmaps and application portfolios
- Ensure organizational and regulatory alignment
- Oversee software lifecycle and development projects
- Manage budgets, risks, and delivery timelines
- Drive best practices across engineering processes
- Build, coach, and manage multi-functional global teams
- Promote a culture of innovation and DE&I
- Collaborate with third-party service providers
- Act as IT liaison across business units
- Facilitate feedback channels and improve user satisfaction
- Advocate IT capabilities across the enterprise
- Govern enterprise-level architecture standards
- Promote reusable frameworks and technology components
- Support risk and compliance assessments
- Lead data governance, analytics, and AI strategies
- Integrate business intelligence into operations
- Execute QA strategy across global teams
- Ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance
- Manage application performance, patching, and disaster recovery
- Ensure alignment with IT service providers and business goals
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or global equivalent) with 13+ years of relevant experience, or 17+ years combined education and experience
- Proven expertise in IT management, enterprise software, and compliance
- Excellent leadership, communication, and technical skills
- Advanced degree in IT, Business, or related fields
- Certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, PgMP, ISTQB, ASQ
- Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and AI solutions
- Experience in SAP ECC/S4HANA, Azure, .NET, Power BI
- Global exposure and ability to navigate cross-cultural environments
